Meet the Chef
Adam LaFave – Executive Chef – The French Manor Inn and Spa
Chef Adam, born and raised in Moscow, PA, developed his love and passion for cooking from working at the French Manor Inn and Spa as a teenager. At that time, Adam was working as a dishwasher under the direction of former French Manor Chef, Scott Killiany. As Adam worked his way up in the French Manor Kitchen from dishwasher, to prep chef, to line chef, Chef Killiany continued to inspire Adam before Adam went off to college.
Adam then moved to Providence, RI, to begin culinary school at Johnson and Wales University. During his tenure at Johnson and Wales, Adam internshiped at the Grand Floridian Disney Resort in Orlando, FL. Adam graduated Cum Laude in 2010 with an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts.
After graduation, Chef Adam accepted the position as line cook at Glenmaura National Golf Club in Moosic, PA. Having outstanding work ethics and natural culinary talent, Adam was promoted to Executive Sous Chef at Glenmaura National Golf Club after 2 1/2 years and held that position for almost 2 additional years. Most recently we are delighted that Chef Adam accepted the position of Executive Chef at the French Manor Inn and Spa.
Local crops are specifically selected to be incorporated into Adam’s seasonal menus offered in our 4-diamond restaurant. Adam has also welcomed the assistance of another former French Manor chef, Kevin Conroy – owner of the “Daily Bread Bakery” in mountainhome, PA. Chef Kevin comes in weekly to bake all of the French Manor’s breads, rolls and desserts that are offered in our restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
