November in the Poconos is a beautiful, enchanting time. The colors have already peaked, and we’re gearing up for the coming holidays and winter months. And if you’re looking for things to do in November, you’ve come to the right place at the right time.

Whether you’re looking for adventure or room to explore, or you’ve come for a romantic holiday getaway and some downtime to spend with someone special, we can suggest a few ways to create an out-of-this-world escape.

Mountain View Vineyard offers beer tasting, spirit flights, and food from its bistro. So, there really is something for every palate. And if you time your visit right, you’ll also enjoy some live events throughout the month, but always check their event schedule before heading out.

Antler Ridge Winery has three locations, but Honesdale is the closest to our inn. Although Antler Ridge doesn’t offer live events, you’ll undoubtedly swirl, sip, and savor some phenomenal wines. And if you love their wines — and live in Pennsylvania or Florida — you can have wines from Antler Ridge shipped directly to your home.

R.A.W. Urban Winery is a unique winery. It offers vegan wine, hard cider, and some gluten-free options. Besides this, R.A.W. Urban Winery also offers a selection of raw wines from “Misty Love” Cabernet Sauvignon to “Mr. Matteo” Moscato. So, if you want a truly unique wine-tasting experience, R.A.W. might be just the ticket you’re looking for.

 These are just three fantastic wineries in our area. There are many others to explore, sip, and savor as well. And each winery offers something truly unique, from the sips to the experience.

South Sterling has a fantastic historic downtown. The town itself dates back to 1815, when it was named in honor of a distinguished American general — Lord Sterling. Sterling was one of George Washington’s most loyal military subordinates during the American Revolution.

 What began with one German resident has blossomed into nearly 1,500 diverse residents today. Many historic buildings are still standing, waiting for you to view, explore, and enjoy our rich history.

One of the most romantic things to do — and a classic one — is spending time stargazing at our night sky. Better yet, our Pennsylvania skies are uniquely known to be some of the darkest skies on the East Coast. In other words, you won’t just see a few glittering white orbs; you’ll see gazillions of them.

So, cozy up under the stars. See which constellations you can find together, and even glimpse a meteor shower. Not only is the night sky magical, but it ignites those feelings of romance and passion.
