1. Jim Thorpe River Adventures Whitewater Rafting
Located in Jim Thorpe, PA, Jim Thorpe River Adventures offers a variety of water activities. Plan your day of whitewater rafting on the Lehigh River using your experience level as a guide. You can pick from Intro to Whitewater, EasyWater, or BigTime Whitewater. They also specialize in inflatable kayaking and mountain bike trips through Lehigh Gorge State Park. Take a short trip, or plan an entire day of fun in the sun!
2. Pocono Whitewater
In addition to both mild and wild whitewater trips, Pocono Whitewater offers a variety of unique rafting adventures unlike anything you’ve done before. During “Moonlight Rafting,” travel down 8 miles of the river on a raft lit by glow sticks. Then enjoy a glass of wine and snacks under the stars. The “Battles and Paddles Adventure” combines whitewater rafting and a paintball war! Or go all the way with the “Big Day Out.” In addition to some of the best whitewater rafting in PA, it includes hiking and paddling for a full day of fun!
3. Whitewater Challengers
From relaxing rafting trips to heart-pumping adventures, Whitewater Challengers has something for everyone. Their most popular Poconos whitewater rafting trip takes you on a scenic 3-4 hour ride through tumbling waterways. If you’d rather take it easy, sign up for their family-style whitewater trip. It has fewer rapids and some calmer spots for swimming. Or, push yourself to the max on the Lehigh River Whitewater Marathon. This is the longest one‑day whitewater rafting trip on the East Coast, with 25 miles of incredible scenery and dozens of exciting rapids.
4. Whitewater Rafting Adventures
Whitewater Rafting Adventures is a family-owned and operated adventure outfitter. Their 13-mile Wet and Wild Trip is a guest favorite and features breathtaking scenery of Lehigh Gorge State Park and action-packed rapids. They also have an EZ Whitewater trip that winds down an 11-mile section of the river and combines the excitement of rafting with the fun of swimming and splashing.
