Pocono wineries pour more than a good glass of red. They hand you a reason to try something new, take in a different adventure, and explore. The French Manor Inn will be your home base, and the Poconos will be your playground.
We sit close enough to the region's best vineyards that a wine tour and a mountain retreat fit into the same perfect weekend. Pair your tasting adventure with our Wine Lovers Weekend Special and let us handle the relaxing part.

Pocono Wineries to Put on Your List
You won't run out of tasting rooms to explore. Here are six of our favorites, each with its own personality.
-
Mountain View Vineyard pours everything from bone-dry reds to sparkling dessert wines. They also distill their own spirits, including whiskey, brandy, and four vodka flavors. Order the apple pie moonshine. You'll thank us later.
-
Antler Ridge Winery has racked up awards for good reason. Their lineup spans dry, sweet, semi-sweet, and fruit wines, plus supplies for the home winemaker in your life.
-
RAW Urban Winery and Hard Cidery brings a modern twist to the tasting room experience. More on them below, because they deserve their own spotlight.
-
Capra Collina Winery keeps things approachable with affordable tastings and a serious fruit wine game. Try the OMG or the Melonberry if they're pouring. Both taste like summer in a glass.
-
Maiolatesi Wine Cellars has been a local favorite since 1999. This family-owned cellar covers the full spectrum from dry to sweet, and something on that list will become your new go-to.
The Story Behind RAW Urban Winery
RAW Urban Winery and Hard Cidery is, named for the owners' two sons, Rowan and Asher. They tend to do things a little differently. Their Downtown Stroudsburg tasting room pours six housemade wines and four homebrewed hard ciders, all just steps from where you sip them.
An urban winery sources its grapes from local farms, then crushes, ferments, and ages everything within city limits. Think of it as a microbrewery's approach applied to wine. Because RAW isn't tied to its own vineyard, it can experiment across a wider range of flavors than a traditional winery ever could.
After experiencing a fun tasting, walk the streets of Stroudsburg or plan a full Eastern Pennsylvania wine tour? RAW earns a spot on the itinerary either way.

What's Actually in the Bottle
RAW's wine list reads like a family scrapbook. Each bottle marks something personal to the winemakers.
Misty Love, a National Gold Medal winner, blends Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Carmenere in oak. Expect bold fruit up front and a spicy finish. The "98" Malbec is named for the year the owners got married. Smoky and full-bodied, it's the kind of red that belongs next to a fireplace on a cold Pocono night, layered with leather, violet, tobacco, and blueberry.
Prefer something lighter? Their Moscato ranks among the region's most popular, and the Pinot Grigio pours crisp and clean. A South African Reserve Blend and a Chianti-style table wine round things out. Stop by either Stroudsburg location and work your way down the list.
The ciders hold their own, too. Indian Head blends organic chamomile and apple for a floral, easy-drinking brew. Oaky O'Shea ages in a whiskey barrel, then gets blended with local syrup for real depth. And the Pocono Mule takes the classic copper mug cocktail and gives it a cider twist, mixing fresh ginger, lime juice, Pinot Grigio, and hard cider into something you'll want a second round of.
Where to Unwind After the Tastings
After a day spent sampling your way through Stroudsburg, the Jardin Suite is exactly where you want to land. This spa-side suite doesn't skimp on detail: an electric fireplace, an oversized whirlpool tub, a private balcony, and a canopy-style king bed built for sinking into.
Yes, spa-side. Round out the day with our Le Effleurage massage, a Swedish-style treatment built on long strokes and gentle kneading. After a wine tour, your shoulders will thank you.
