Unlike traditional horseback riding offered year-round in the Poconos, the sleigh rides are only available after the New Year. However, it’s important to note that they are only offered with at least six inches of packed snow. Unlike the stable’s other riding options, the horse-drawn sleigh rides yield no age restrictions. This makes it the perfect activity for up to 12 people. The sleigh ride takes visitors through historic Pocono Manor with views of snow-brushed cottages rich with history.

A little further from the French Manor Inn & Spa, Daisy Field Farm is nestled on its own private farm and wildlife preserve. Owners Mike and Judy Mertz have been managing the service for over 35 years. The Mertz knows firsthand how horse-drawn sleigh rides can enhance travelers’ overall vacation experience. Part of this experience is seeing wildlife on their private farm. Because the Mertz don’t allow hunting on their farm, sleigh riders can see wild deer and other creatures as if they’re in an enchanted forest.
