1. Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain (or Tube Big Bear!)

Everyone, from newest beginners to the most seasoned skiers, can find trails they love at Ski Big Bear. With 18 trails and 7 lifts, you’ll always find something new to explore. If you’re not yet a skier, consider taking some lessons here! Or go tubing instead – no skill required!

2. Raft (or Kayak or Canoe or Tube) the Delaware River

3. Take a Walk on the Historic Roebling Bridge

The Roebling Bridge in PA is a one-lane historic suspension bridge that connects Minisink Ford, NY, and Lackawaxen, PA. You can choose to drive or walk over the bridge, with a gorgeous view of the Delaware River.

John A. Roebling, the brilliant engineer responsible for the Roebling Bridge, would later go on to construct the Brooklyn Bridge.

The bridge and the walking paths near the bridge sometimes also provide year-round glimpses of nesting eagles!

4. Tour the Zane Grey Museum

Famous Western novelist Zane Grey and his wife Dolly owned a farmhouse overlooking the Lackawaxen and Delaware rivers. Grey, a prolific author, loved fishing as well. After Zane Grey’s death, Dolly sold the house to the daughter of a long-time friend, who eventually began and operated the Zane Grey Museum.

Now owned by the National Park Service, the Zane Grey Museum remains a favorite stop for lovers of history as well as fans of Zane Grey’s books.

The lovely house and grounds are also a great place to explore the beautiful scenery.
