Whether you decide to sample the award-winning wines, explore the world-class facilities, or simply relax and take in the incredible views, the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail offers a once in a lifetime experience. When it comes to the best wineries along the trail, these should be at the top of your list:
Amore Vineyards & Winery:
Established in 2000, Amore has a warm, old-world feel and offers tastings of six signature wines for just $5. All of the wine is produced locally, and the current grape varieties growing include Concord, Niagara, Vidal, Cayuga, Chambourcin, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Riesling. They are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., and we recommend calling ahead to make an appointment.

The 16-acre Big Creek vineyard is located on the southern face of the Pocono mountains and offers free wine tastings. From dry reds to sweet whites, they offer a wide array of options to choose from.
Blue Mountain Vineyards & Cellars:
With panoramic views of the Appalachian Mountains, this winery is truly breathtaking. As you sip your wine on the outdoor deck, you can enjoy the beauty of the surrounding ponds and terraced vineyards.

One of Pennsylvania’s largest wineries, Clover Hill has been producing premium wines for more than 30 years. The winery’s beautiful tasting room is open 7 days a week.
Franklin Hill Vineyards:
Franklin Hill Vineyards has a state-of-the-art facility, and we appreciate that they use green, socially-conscious practices. They offer $5 tastings of six wines, complete with a souvenir tasting glass.

With hillside vineyards, extraordinary views, and spectacular architecture, this winery is perfect for a romantic afternoon. If you are planning a rendezvous with your special someone, this is one stop you won’t want to miss.
Pinnacle Ridge Winery:
Situated in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, this winery is housed in a beautifully renovated barn that was originally built in 1851. Their tastings are just $5 per person on weekdays, and $10 per person on weekends after 4:30.
This nine-acre vineyard and winery is located on a 76-acre farm and creates high-quality wines enhanced by the family’s Italian heritage and agrarian roots. You may sample three wines for free, or sample six premium wines and receive a souvenir wine glass for $5.
Vynecrest Vineyards & Winery:
Open year-round, Vynecrest offers a tasting room, wine bar, light appetizers, and live music. They are open 7 days a week and tours of the grounds are also offered on the last Sunday of each month.
Tips for Visiting the Trail
With so many excellent wineries to visit, you won’t see them all in one day. We recommend making a weekend out of it so you have enough time to stop by a few of them. Before you go, make sure to check out this Wine Trail map and plan your transportation ahead of time. Then, begin your adventure at 10 AM on Saturday or noon on Sunday, right when the wineries open. If you plan to travel all day, be sure pack a snack or stop by one of the local restaurants. Guests should also keep in mind that each winery has its own wine tasting fees and limits, so it’s important to contact the facility or check their website before heading out.
